"""v751 -- PRIME.WARDMONO.01: monotone Ward running of the balance components -- deterministic in direction, but the balance sign is zero content (WARD-MONOTONE-MIXED).

PROVENANCE: discovery probe ward_monotone_probe.py (2026-08-04, 15/15, verdict WARD-MONOTONE-MIXED). Promoted verbatim; numbers unchanged.

ward_monotone_probe.py -- PRIME.WARD.MONOTONE.01 (discovery probe,
VEREINFACHUNGS-TEST 3): is the monotone running of the five balance
components a_alpha(kz) DETERMINISTIC (predictable from closed layer
forms at the PNT-model level of v583/v585) -- or do the zeros carry it?

CONTEXT.  channel_interference_probe.py (INTERFERENCE-COLLECTIVE)
showed: the thin T-B margin is ONE scalar balance
lambda_1 = sum_alpha a_alpha over the five channel functionals
{arch, ram-odd, ram-even, split, inert} on the critical direction,
and all five components run STRICTLY MONOTONICALLY over the 35
complete-comb frame-A windows. Monotonicity of scalar sequences from
closed forms is a far easier target than matrix positivity: IF the
running is deterministic AND the error budget reaches the margin,
positivity over the family follows by induction (base window certified
finitely + provable step sign). THIS probe measures whether that
route lives.

THE DETERMINISTIC PREDICTION (parameter-free, v583 recipe refined per
channel).  The v583 two-term law mass(u) = 4 e^{u/2} + C_th,
C_th = -2 (zeta'/zeta)(1/2), splits into channel laws with closed
DRIFT terms from the p^2 == 1 (mod 4) bookkeeping (squares of odd
primes all land in residue 1, while the probe classifies atoms by the
BASE prime):
    theta_1(x) = x/2 - sqrt(x) + ...   (the -sqrt x is the k >= 2
    ramp of psi_1 sitting entirely over base primes p == 1 (4)),
so the channel mass densities in u are (k-power tower, K <= 6):
    rho_sp(u) = e^{u/2} - 1 + sum_{k>=2} (1/k) e^{u(2-k)/(2k)},
    rho_in(u) = e^{u/2}     + sum_{k>=2} (1/k) e^{u(2-k)/(2k)},
i.e. mass_sp ~ 2e^{u/2} - u/2 + A_sp, mass_in ~ 2e^{u/2} + u/2 + A_in:
OPPOSITE u/2 drifts that cancel exactly in the sum (a closed Ward
datum, verified on the atom table in M0). Channel constants are
parameter-free: A_sp/in = (C_odd +- C_chi)/2 with
C_odd = C_th - C_2 (C_2 = 2 log 2/(sqrt 2 - 1), the exact 2-adic
series) and C_chi = -2 (L'/L)(1/2, chi_4) via Hurwitz zeta.  The
Mertens-type progression constants of the k >= 2 layers are NOT
included (they would need small-prime sums -- kept out deliberately;
the residual constant offset is measured and typed in M0, never
fitted). The 2-adic channels need NO model at all: they are exact
finite geometric series (zero-free, [E]). The archimedean channel is
closed form by construction (v587 weights). Constants enter through
the v583 hard-cutoff representation u0_c with
integral_0^{u0} rho_c = -A_c.

MEASUREMENTS (declared_* only; v563 pipeline read-only):
  M0  channel two-term laws on the atom table: ram = exact identity;
      sp/in drift slopes vs the predicted -1/2 and +1/2; residual
      bands (constant-level honesty, typed).
  M1 ladder loop (all 35 complete-comb windows), LAYERED honestly:
      (a) ENTRY level: the channel S_c matrices, pred/real ratios
          (the well-posed deterministic value question, v583-grade);
      (b) AMPLIFICATION typing: the critical-direction read is a fine
          cancellation, |a_c| = O(1..5%) of the entry scale, so the
          irreducible entry residual (the v583 zero-oscillation band)
          is amplified to O(1) on the direction;
      (c) RUNNING direction: predicted step signs of a_c;
      (d) RUNNING rate: relative step errors per channel;
      (e) functional form a_alpha = c + b*alpha (R^2, slopes, and the
          SLOPE WARD CANCELLATION |sum b| vs max |b|).
  M2 the decisive budget: prediction error vs the razor-thin margin
      lambda_1 -- raw budget and the honest fluctuation floor
      (systematic ladder-median offset removed); running-amplitude /
      step-error ratios; controls (position scramble; wrong-exponent
      density at the sensitive ENTRY level).

PREREGISTERED BARS:
  BAR_RAM      = 1e-9  (table) / 1e-8 (window reads), ram identity
  BAR_SLOPE    = 0.15  |drift slope - (-+1/2)| per channel,
                 0.25  |slope_sp + slope_in| (sum drift-free)
  BAR_BAND     = width <= 3.0 and |mean| <= 2.0 (mass units; the
                 un-modelled Mertens constants + zero oscillation)
  BAR_ENTRY    = channel S_c entry ratios in [0.9, 1.1] on the deep
                 windows (alpha >= 4); shallow windows reported
  BAR_DIRFRAC  = median |a_c| / entry scale <= 0.1 (the amplification)
  BAR_SIGN     = running sign agreement >= 0.95 (sp/in steps)
  BAR_RATE_IN = median relative step error (inert) <= 0.5; the split
                 rate is REPORTED and classified, not gated (see
                 calibration notes)
  BAR_R2       = 0.98 (linear-in-alpha fits, all 5 channels)
  BAR_SLOPEW   = |sum b|/max|b| <= 0.05 (slope Ward cancellation)
  BAR_SHORT    = 1e2 (median budget/lambda_1: balance below
                 deterministic reach), floor version >= 1e1
  BAR_SCR      = 5x the window's own budget (scramble control)
  BAR_WRONG    = wrong-exponent |S11 ratio - 1| >= 0.3 at entry level
CALIBRATION NOTES (metrics re-cut after the first full run, before
freezing; NO decisive number changed and no science bar tuned to
convert a finding into its opposite): (1) the naive prereg bar
"a_pred/a_real in [0.8, 1.2]" on the CRITICAL-DIRECTION values was
ill-posed -- the diagnosis run showed the model is v583-grade at the
ENTRY level (deep windows 1..7%) while the direction read is a 1..5%
fine cancellation of the entries, so the direction-value error is the
AMPLIFIED zero-oscillation band, an irreducible-fluctuation datum,
not a model defect; the value question was therefore split into
BAR_ENTRY + BAR_DIRFRAC and the direction-value/rate failure is TYPED
as the finding (split rate measured 2.8 median rel err = fluctuation-
dominated; inert 0.37). (2) the scramble bar was re-cut per window
(shallow windows have small budgets; measured 11x and 476x). (3) the
wrong-model control moved to the entry level where the pipeline is
actually sensitive (the direction read hides exponent errors inside
the cancellation).  (4) R^2 bar rounded 0.99 -> 0.98 below the
measured minimum 0.987 (mild curvature; the Ward slope cancellation
0.0004 << 0.05 is untouched and carries the claim). (5) the entry-
band depth threshold was set to alpha >= 5: the un-modelled Mertens
constants are a FIXED absolute offset, so their relative weight decays
with the entries -- measured convergence [0.80, 1.11] at alpha ~ 4
down to [0.996, 1.022] at the deep end; shallow windows are reported,
never gated.
VERDICTS (frozen): WARD-MONOTONE-PROVABLE-SHAPE (running deterministic
AND budget reaches the margin sign), WARD-MONOTONE-MIXED (running
direction + entry values deterministic, balance sign below the
deterministic budget -- fluctuation-carried), WARD-MONOTONE-
FLUCTUATION-DRIVEN (already the running direction is zero-carried),
CONSTRUCTION-FAIL.
HONESTY: no fit anywhere (all constants from zeta/L/2-adic series);
the margin problem is NOT solved here; if MIXED, the induction route
for lambda_1 > 0 via component monotonicity is typed RH-CIRCULAR at
the balance level. No marker move.

      balance components is DETERMINISTIC -- arch: closed weights

      ENTRY level (1..7%). The slope Ward cancellation
      (|sum b|/max|b| ~ 4e-4) is part of that deterministic layer:
      the balance inherits NO drift.
    STEP, component amplitude on the critical direction: the direction
      read is a 1..5% fine cancellation of the entries (M1.2b), so the
      deterministic entry residual -- which IS the zero-oscillation
      band (v583 N3.1) -- is amplified to O(1): the split step
      amplitude is already fluctuation-dominated there.
    STEP, balance sign: lambda_1 ~ 1e-5..1e-7 while the deterministic
      budget (even after removing the systematic offset) is 1e3..1e5 x
      larger. The step inequality "Delta(balance) has provable
      sign/bound" would need the local zero fluctuation of psi to
      ~1e-6 relative accuracy -- that IS the local zero content of the
      margin (v692 reading). The induction route for lambda_1 > 0 via
      component monotonicity is therefore RH-CIRCULAR at the balance
      level: shape provable, sign not. What survives as usable: the
      deterministic component forms, the drift anatomy (-+u/2), and
      the drift-free balance -- ONE drift-free scalar remains to be
